LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme – 2022

Objective:
The scheme aims to provide scholarships to meritorious students from economically weaker sections, enhancing their opportunities for higher education and employment.

Scope:
Scholarships are for studies in India at government or private colleges/universities, including technical and vocational courses at ITIs and Integrated Courses after Class XII.

Eligibility:

  • Regular Scholar:
    • Must have passed Class XII or equivalent with at least 60% marks in the Academic Year 2021-22.
    • Annual family income must not exceed Rs. 2,50,000.
    • Covers various fields including Medicine, Engineering, Graduation, and Vocational Courses.
    • Class X passouts pursuing vocational or diploma courses are also eligible under similar conditions.
  • Special Girl Child Scholar:
    • For girls who have passed Class X with at least 60% marks in the Academic Year 2021-22.
    • Annual family income must not exceed Rs. 2,50,000.
    • Supports higher studies in Intermediate/10+2, vocational, or diploma courses.

Duration:
Scholarships are for the entire course duration for Regular Scholars and two years for Special Girl Scholars, subject to renewal conditions.

Rate of Scholarship:

  • Regular Scholar: Rs. 20,000 per annum in three installments.
  • Special Girl Child: Rs. 10,000 per annum in three installments.

Conditions:

  • Minimum 60% marks required in the previous final examination.
  • Relaxation in income limit to Rs. 4 lakhs for families where a woman is the sole breadwinner.
  • Selection based on merit and family income.
  • Scholarship not available for correspondence, part-time, evening classes, or private candidates.
  • Renewal requires maintaining specified marks.

Mode of Applying:
Applications must be submitted online through the LIC website (www.licindia.in). The last date for application is 18.12.2022. Candidates will receive an acknowledgment email after submission. Further communication will be managed by the Divisional Office.
